"Ever since I can remember I have been drawing: on the margins of school textbooks, on cardboard boxes, on a loose sheet of paper while on the telephone. I did not receive any formal education in the Arts.  I am a teacher at a private school near Cape Town. My creations are mainly my own images and ideas, driven by the inspiration to depict timeless moments in the lives of the people of my country. I want the onlooker to pause with me in awe of the charm and intensity of our virtues and sense of belonging that are, like our God, ever present in our lives, although we sometimes feel delivered unto less favourable times. I want to involve the viewer to all the good that belongs to us, so that he might cherish it.
