More about Leon.....
Leon started his artistic career at the age of 11. He attended evening art classes and sold his work at various exhibitions. At the age of 15 he attended the Tygerberg art school for three years while completing his matric at Stellenberg High School. After school he went abroad to South America. His art exhibitions were a great success and the ambassador of France became a fan of his and comissioned artworks for the French embacy. Leon returned to South Africa and enrolled as a student at Art Directors Workshop and completed a three year diploma while getting his foot in the door at galleries. Leon has a preferece for abstract work and chooses to work with mixed media on canvas or wood. He finds his inspiration in nature and his abstracts can usually be related to landscapes, organic forms or the human body. He recenly enrolled as an interior designer to further his career.
